Unique & Fun Indian Wedding at Zephyr Palace, Costa Rica
Tradition meets fun at Jiger & Sejal’s energetic 3-day Indian wedding celebration at the Zephyr Place Hotel and Hotel Villa Caletas in Costa Rica.
Two stunning Costa Rica venues and three amazing days of love and celebration – Jiger and Sejal’s magical wedding in paradise was one they and their guests will never forget.
As traditional Indian weddings go, the celebrations began two days before the ceremony. Set at the beautiful Hotel Villa Caletas, the first day was dedicated to the Mehndi, the traditional pre-wedding celebration in when the bride has the red-orange stains applied to her palms, back of hands, and feet. The beautiful designs graced the bride’s hands throughout the days of the celebration.
The next day is dedicated to the Pithi. Pithi is a paste made out of chickpea flour, turmeric, rose water and other ingredients and is placed on the skin of both bride and groom. This tradition is not only good for the skin – it evens out skin tones – but it is also a fun time for family and friends to rub the paste all over the bride and groom!
The event space at the Hotel Villa Caletas was decorated in bright, colorful flowers and fabrics to highlight the vibrance of the couple and their culture. The venue was filled with purple flowers and peacock feathers that emphasize the uniqueness of the 3-day event.
It wasn’t hard to add aspects of the beautiful Indian wedding traditions, as every piece necessary was a bright addition on its own.
After two days of preparation, the wedding day has finally arrived! The bride and groom kept things traditional, but fun and true to their personalities.
The ceremony took place overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean by the pool at the gorgeous Zephyr Palace. The venue was decorated with simple yet sophisticated pink and white flowers, which matched the bride’s beautiful ceremony dress.
It’s official! Jiger & Sejal take their first pictures together as man and wife while guests move to the reception hall for the celebration.
The decor at the reception is kept simple, mirroring the flowers and decorations at the ceremony. The room is complemented by pink and white roses set on white tablecloths. The centerpieces are simple, iridescent glass vases filled with flowers.
The table settings match the ambiance and colors, being just simple gold plates and white and gold table-numbers.
The sweetheart table is similar to the rest of the tables but is made special by romantic candles surrounding the table.
The rest of the night was spent dancing, laughing, and celebrating the newly married couple. Congratulations to Jiger and Sejal!
