Gorgeous Indian Wedding in Manuel Antonio
A beautiful celebration for a beautiful couple at this popular Costa Rica wedding destination.
Rohid and Radha began a new chapter in their love story in Costa Rica’s exotic seaside-jungle villa, Punto de Vista. The festivities started with Mendhi, the traditional pre-wedding celebration in when the bride has the red-orange stains applied to her palms, back of hands, and feet. The beautiful designs graced the bride’s hands throughout the days of the celebration.

The next day of the wedding was the Pithi, which is an event held at both the bride and bridegroom homes separately. Pithi is a paste made out of chickpea flour, turmeric, rose water and other ingredients and is placed on the skin of both bride and groom. This tradition is not only good for the skin – it evens out skin tones – but it is also a fun time for family and friends to rub the paste all over the bride and groom!
Next… the big day finally arrives! Dressed in a traditional gorgeous, fiery red Sari, the bride takes a breathtaking walk down the aisle surrounded by bright red and white flowers of all kinds. Both Rohid and Radha were adorned with luscious flowered necklaces, called Varmalas.

The sacred ceremony traditions continue under the beautiful Mandap, a covered structure garnished with vibrant fabrics and flowers. The couple sits around a small fire pit, where they make offerings to God asking for purity, perfection, prosperity, and victory over all challenges in their new lives together as a couple.

After the ceremony, they took the short drive down to the beach for a gorgeous photoshoot.

The celebration continues in the villa’s event terrace for the reception, where the color scheme takes a soft turn from the vibrancy of the red-toned ceremony to a subtle blue and gold vibe.

Guests arrive to find their tables noted with classic, white and gold cards. Silky dark-blue table clothesline the tables, helping the golden plate settings and classy, understated centerpieces to pop.

Candles and intricately designed lanterns keep the sense of ancient tradition among contemporary decor, while the views of the ocean and the jungle offer an exciting and romantic atmosphere.

Food is a huge part of any wedding and Radha and Rohid featured traditional Indian delicacies throughout the festivities, thanks to Naans and Curries while they opted for contemporary Costa Rican cuisine the final night by Mango Catering.

We wish the happy couple nothing but joy and good fortune on their journey through life!
A special thank you to Kevin Heslin for capturing every moment over the course of the celebration, to Jonathan Yonkers the videographer, to Mademoiselle Salon for their hair and makeup talents, to Amira for conducting the Mendhi, D Gala rentals, Stylos y Flores for the breathtaking florals and to A-Class Productions for keeping the dance floor packed!
