| Larissa Banting (Owner, Principal Designer) Having parents who produced some of Canada's largest events, Larissa comes by her penchant for planning naturally, her own event production career including A Gala Evening with Mikhail Baryshnikov, The Northern Alberta International Children's Festival, the Alberta Ballet House and Garden Tour and the Alberta Film and Television Awards. She approaches each wedding as a production and her experience as a professional dancer, choreographer, actress, television producer and award-winning film maker imbue her work with a sense of dramatic flair. Larissa has also written the best selling travel book Costa Rica The Bradt Travel Guide (available in English and Russian). She is the co-creator of Estilo Weddings magazine and the driving force behind the formation of the Association of Destination Wedding Professionals in Costa Rica. Fun fact - Larissa was the captain of York University's first varsity women's fencing team Randy Gritz (Senior Planner) A Philly girl, Randy first came to Costa Rica to learn Spanish and never left. After successful careers in human resources, training, education and business, Randy was looking for a newchallenge. She agreed to assist Larissa for six months - six years and many happy couples later, Randy is one of the foremost planners in the country (her final details lists are legendary). Randy is also a integral part of English community theatre in Costa Rica, both in front and behind the stage lights. Fun fact - Randy opened Costa Rica's first chain of parent/teacher school resource stores Pamela Calderon (Office Manager, Graphic Designer) Born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, Pamela studied Production Engineering at university. She has worked for multi-national corporations, specializing in process improvements. Her graphic design skills have raised the bar for in-house design at WCR (for which we are forever grateful). Fun fact - Pamela is the office 'mom' making sure everyone has enough for lunch and that the snack bin is always full Dana Luken (Wedding Assistant, Intern) Hailing from Wuppertal, Germany, Dana is finishing her degree in International Hospitality Management at HotelSchool in the Hague. Her love of travel has taken her to Australia, Guatemala and Mexico. Fun fact - Dana is a sailing instructor and speaks four languages |
