It's a love story, really.

Weddings Costa Rica was born out of founder Larissa Banting's experience planning her own wedding in Costa Rica, marrying the man of her dreams on the very beach where they'd met. Encountering numerous challenges to create her own dream day, despite living in the country and marrying a local, she recognized the need for a dedicated destination wedding design and planning firm.

Since opening its doors in 2003, Weddings Costa Rica has established itself as the foremost wedding design firm in the country. With over 400 weddings to our credit, we've planned everything from intimate elopements to extravaganzas of 200+ guests. Our unique design work and attention to the details has garnered international acclaim: and a number of 'firsts' for the industy in Costa Rica:

* first wedding to be featured in an international wedding magazine (Modern Bride, 2007)

*first Costa Rican vendor to be invited to the Little Black Book on Style Me Pretty

The average wedding in the USA costs $26,000 (and if you're in New York, that skyrockets to $71,000). A wedding in Costa Rica allows you to have the wedding you want without breaking the bank. Clients often tell us that a smilar wedding 'back home' would have cost them three or four times the price.

* create extremely detailed timelines and final details documents for you and all the vendors
*steam your wedding clothes at no extra charge (travel wrinkles be gone!)
* be on site all day to oversee vendor load in, direct the ceremony and reception and ensure everything is packed up at the end ofthe night

We provide you with a detailed line-item budget with a flat fee for our services. No complicated formulas or spreadsheets, no percentages - everything clearly laid out in black and white.

Our offices are located in beautiful Santa Ana, just west of the capital city of San Jose (yes, we are IN Costa Rica, full-time!) but we travel to wherever in the country you want to marry.
